Millions of people around the world suffer from tooth loss that requires the use of dentures. Even when the dentures fit well, over time the bone and gums change which cause the dentures to loosen, rock side to side, create sore spots, and even fall out. This is very frustrating and embarrassing. We now have the ability to give patients who wear dentures the confidence and freedom of secure prostheses with mini-implants. They can be used to support complete dentures or partial dentures. They are small diameter (1.8mm) titanium screws that go into the bone. A small portion of it remains above the tissue which acts as the support and lock for the denture. We can retrofit the existing denture to clip into these implants and hold it in place. For upper dentures we are able to remove the plastic on the palate which improves speech and taste. Mini-implants transform lives in one visit.

It generally only takes one visit. A small amount of local anesthetic is used, the implants are placed, and the denture is adjusted to fit. The procedure takes about an hour and the patient walks out with the ability to eat anything with confidence. There is little or no pain associated with this kind of treatment.
